Samsung is a world-renowned electronics giant. Their cellphones recently are making news, such as the Android-toting Galaxy SII. But they have a very diverse portfolio, and the Samsung Champ is a touchscreen for the budget-conscious. Will the features worth for the money you paid for it are enough? I've been using the Champ (C3303K) for sometime now and here are my thoughts.

Before that, a quick look first at the specs:

Camera 1.3 MP, 1280 x 1024 pixels
Radio Stereo FM radio
Battery Li-Ion 1000 mAh
Stand-by Up to 666 h
Talk time Up to 12 h
The Good:
Battery: Because of the small size of the screen, and limited wireless features (No 3G, Wi-Fi), battery can last up to five days (or a week), depending on usage.
Radio: The FM radio can be used with or without headphones. Some phones need the earphones attached when listening to FM radio; the earphone or headset acts as antenna. Fortunately for the Champ, you can listen to the radio on its own via speakers. Reception is quite good even without an antenna (the headset, that is).
The Bad:
Resistive Touchscreen: The resistive touchscreen needs considerable pressure for it to register, unlike the HTC Touch2 which is more sensitive. Also, resistive touchscreens are prone to scratches.
No 3G, Wi-Fi: Anyways, you don't need to bother surfing the Internet on this phone as it only has a small 2.4 inches screen.
Camera: The camera is only sufficient for thumbnails, maybe for use on the Contact lists on the phone. Uploading the pictures on your PC will only reveal how lowly the camera is.
Overall:
The Samsung Champ is good for phone functions and some extras, and that's about it. Anyways, it's cheap; you don't expect a smartphone for the Champ's price.
