iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 has been a phenomenal phone in terms of design and features. It was one of the thinnest, has a glass front and back, with great 5mp camera above those of the same resolution Android cameras, and the clear Retina display. I've used an iPhone 3GS before, but this is definitely an upgrade. Find out more after the jump.

The Good:

Good looks: There's no doubt, the iPhone 4 is one of the best looking phones out there. With its steel sides and front and back glass, it's elegant and high end. With the steep price you have to pay though, this is expected.

Clear Screen: The iPhone may have retained its 3.5" screen since it was first launched, the resolution has been bumped to 640 x 960 pixels, pixels so small your eyes can't see them (on regular use, for those with 20/20 vision, yes you can see the pixels close-up). Dubbed "Retina" display, anything displayed on the screen is clear.

Camera: It only has a 5mp camera, but as they say, megapixels is not the only factor to consider. Touch to focus is included, and finally this iPhone comes with an LED flash. Pictures are clear and there's less noise.

The Bad:

No expandable storage
: Being an iPhone with iPod functionality and great camera for shoots, its a shame the storage is all built-in with no options to expand. Better buy the one with the highest capacity if you're a media junkie.

Non-removable battery: You can't simply just open the back and replace the battery.

Micro-Sim: When you've cut your sim for this phone, you have to buy an adapter if ever you still want to use the sim for other phones.

Antennagate issue: The metal sides are actually antennas for the phone radio and wi-fi. A signal drop can be experienced by touching the slots in effect shorting the antennas. Bumper cases can be used to avoid this.

Overall:

The iPhone is no doubt one of the must-have phones. The iPhone 4 is a new design in the series, and you can't deny it's a beautiful phone. The OS is stick, albeit not much new features and functionality, but simplicity is the main point here. The camera is above average, and the screen is lovely to look at. But I must admit, I'd like a bigger screen and the option to expand my storage.
